To Keep a Thief

A thief and a gentleman fight, fake, and fall in love over one Edwardian summer

by Maia Baker

A bi-for-bi, grumpy x grumpy, class-conscious (class-rageful) romance between a housekeeper and a country gentleman.

However, the housekeeper is an unscrupulous thief on the run from her ex-girlfriend, and she has never kept so much as a cottage. The gentleman is prickly, arrogant, and generally ungentlemanly, and he doesn’t know his housekeeper is actually planning to strip his house of every valuable she can find. When he hires her to run his newly inherited manor, they’re stuck in Halfwell House together for the whole summer.

What could go wrong?
